With new iOS 14, most users will expect to select their preferred third-party dialer app, web browser, email app, phone dialer, contacts manager, and the messaging app without any limitation. We hope that users can change their default email and web browser apps, and more are the same for other stock apps as well. 

New Home Screen Layouts, Resizable Widgets

The home screen part of iOS 14 has seen a list view implemented. Most of the users would love to see a scrolling grid option and dynamic placement of app icons. Otherwise,  Apple is just experimenting for letting third-party wallpaper apps have deeper access to iOS 14. Apple should give users more control over the home screen and lock screen customization on iOS 14. Also, they offer to customize app shortcuts on the lock screen.

Picture-in-Picture Mode

Sometimes when you are watching a cricket match and ordering food through Twitter, iOS doesn’t support the picture-in-picture mode. So, users require this implementation. Apple already has the picture-in-picture feature and iOS 14 offers a similar mode in iOS 14 for video streaming and video player apps.

If you want a smaller UI for Voice Calls during the time you are performing an important task, this is the time Apple had a smaller pop-up notification for calls. Indeed, it is the most essential control towards the top of the screen or has a floating window to move around for calls. 

Always-On Display Mode

Most of the people use their Apple device a lot of times sometimes to check the time or to see any important notifications on it. Therefore, you will have to light up the whole screen every time. However it is very difficult. When your iPhone is in the sleep mode, Apple could offer an always visible clock widget on the screen. It could be accompanied by notification icons, calendar events, weather info, and other details. So, the Apple Watch-like Complications feature used to customize Always-On Display mode and it has instant access to the information they want. It could display information such as activity rings, battery charge level, sports scores, to-do lists, unread message or email count, or weather. 

App Lock For Improved Privacy

Apple still doesn’t offer a feature of lock apps via biometrics. Apple should offer a feature that lets users hide some apps from appearing on the home screen. It would help users to implement a feature like Samsung’s Secure Folder, where users could hide apps, documents, images, and videos lock via biometrics.
